The Long Day of the Modern is the personal website of Zachariah Ezer, a Brooklyn-based dramatist, content creator, and musician. As a playwright, his work has been developed by The National Black Theatre, The Tank, American Lore Theater, The Lark, The Fade to Black Play Festival, The DC Black Theatre Festival, BUFU, The Workshop Theater, The Woodside Players of Queens, Merde, The Secret Theatre, and Ruthless Nightingale; it has been performed in New York City, Washington DC, and Houston, Texas. As an essayist, Zachariah has been published by Gizmodo/io9, HuffPost, and Bubbleblabber, among other publications. As a performer, Zachariah is one-third of alternative rock band Harper’s Landing. Zachariah is an honors graduate of Wesleyan University, where he majored in Philosophy and received the Olin fellowship.
